Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Over time, breast shape changes and firmness decreases. These changes are due to a loss of skin elasticity and the effects of gravity as we age. The most drastic changes are often seen following pregnancy, breast-feeding and weight loss. In such cases a mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, can be performed to restore a more perky and youthful appearance to your breasts.

If you are also experiencing a loss in breast volume leading to a deflated appearance, breast implants may be used to simultaneously lift and increase breast fullness. Mastopexies can also help to correct any significant breast or nipple asymmetry.

Breast lifts are typically performed as an outpatient procedure at a private surgical facility. Most patients that undergo this surgery can expect to return to work in two to three weeks and resume normal physical activities within six weeks.
