Body Contouring

Body contouring involves removing excess skin and fat to reshape different areas of your body. The arms, back, chest, abdomen and lower body can all be treated with the right type of procedure. These procedures are particularly successful in patients who have lost a significant amount of weight and suffer from residual, excess skin or in patients with an isolated area of stubborn fat. Commonly performed body contouring procedures include abdominoplasties,  brachioplasties to treat excess tissue of the arms and bra line back lifts to remove excess skin and fat of the upper back.

Body contouring procedures are typically done using a combination of techniques, often including liposuction. These procedures are performed under general anesthetic and recovery time varies between patients. Most patients that undergo this type of procedure can expect to gradually return to their normal activities between three to six weeks following surgery.
